The next time you hear from them if at all, they tell you they cannot afford it and thank you for the session.

If you are hearing this repeatedly from your ideal clients it can get really frustrating. I totally get it. I was there.

Here are 5 reasons why you are attracting clients who can’t afford you.

1. Not Clearly Understanding the Value & Results They will Get.

This is a big one. When it comes to money, people will invest when they are clear. Your job is to have them super clear on what they will be getting from working with you.

2. Their Gut Feeling.

This one is all about our lack of confidence & self worth. This is HUGE. If you are not 333% confident in your prices, your potential client can FEEL it. While they may not know why they are resistant, we tend to go with our gut feeling. And that gut feeling is based from the energies we get. So, if you are not confident in your pricing, how can they be?

Manifesting Maven Tip: Confidence & Self Worth is essential in creating a successful biz & life. Invest the time & resources to uncover any beliefs or stories which can hold you back.

3. Your Money Story.

My money story was bad. I was constantly focused on the lack. I would be stressed to pay the bills. I avoided money like the plague. I hated checking the mail & I would let it pile up. It was really bad. When I finally fought through my fear and started to understand my money story, I realized why I was in the financial state or lack of finances. It was really freakin’ scary to look at, but it was totally worth it. It gave me the power to change my money story & inspired me to clean up all of my negative energy around money. #GameChanger

Manifesting Maven Tip: Taking the time to dive in and work/clean up your money story is freakin’ scary. I worked with a coach & invested in different programs to work on this. I spend A LOT of money doing this work. The good news is, now I created a simple, powerful process for myself & my clients to work through their money story.

4. Your Energetic Space.

Everything around us is energy. This includes your space. When we have clutter in our space, it can limit our ability to receive. If this sounds too “airy fairy” for you, I totally get it. It took a lot of research to buy into it. And now I am a believer.

Manifesting Maven Tip: Remember the energy around us creates more of the same energy. So if you are in a cluttered space full of crap, what do you think you will get more of? Go through your workspace & home and get rid/fix the broken stuff, dead plants & things which do not serve you.

5. You Are Not Investing in Yourself.

Ugh – this one is a catch 22. I would say – when I get my first client, I will invest in myself. And I meant it. The problem was, I needed to invest in myself to get my first client.

Manifesting Maven Tip: Figure out what exactly is holding you back. Then take steps on working on it. Investing in yourself can be hard, but when I did, it was a game changer. The free stuff is great, but real talk – how are clients going to invest in you, if you don’t invest in yourself?

The easy thing to do is NOTHING.

I knew that deep inside, but I chose to do nothing for a long time. I would attend a boatload of free webinars, read books – the whole deal. And although I learned a ton, but it did not help my bank account. When I finally took action and invested in myself, that was when everything changed.When I invested in my first coach, I had to open up a new credit card to afford the payments.

When we do the work to uncover what is holding us back, then we can create the space for our dream, kismet clients to find us.

Change Your Life It is the one ritual that will change your life! Best part? It is simple to do! Talk about Effortless!

My mantra is “It takes Effort to be Effortless & it is WORTH it!!”

So let’s get to it.

The One Ritual is ….. Setting a Daily Intention. It will CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

This is SO powerful in so many ways! Here are my favorites.

Intention Creates Focus

For most of us, we are rushing to get out of the door to get to all the “stuff” we need to do. We are not focused in on how we want to feel throughout the day. When we spend a few minutes daily focusing in on how we want to feel – that is really powerful.

Intention Guides Us

We can leverage the intention to have it guide us throughout our day. When facing a decision we can ask ourselves “Which option will best serve my intention for the day?”
What an amazing way to leverage our “inner GPS”?

Creates Presence

As our lives seems to get more busy, we need to make the time to live in the present moment. When we begin our day with an intention, we start off taking a few deep breaths to get present and increase our vibrations. It’s like rebooting our brain.

Okay, now that I have “sold” you on some of the benefits of Setting an Intention,

Here are 3 Effortless Ways to Set An Intention:

1. State of Mind

This is essential! If you are setting an intention out of fear, worry, stress or any other negative vibration the intention is not as powerful. So, let’s maximize the power of the intention!

Take a few cleansing breaths. Focus on 3 different things you have Gratitude for. Engage your emotions into the activity. When you elicit your emotions, your energetic vibrations will increase.

Now, take a few moments to focus on your breath. This creates presence in the here and now.
Next, ask yourself “How do I want to feel today?” Do you want to feel empowered, loved, happy, generous, etc? Take a moment and sink into that feeling.

Finally ask yourself “Are there any meetings or events that are happening today?” “How do I want to show up in those meetings/events?” Do you want to be a leader? Do you want to give value? Do you want to connect with like minded people?

Take a few final cleansing breaths. You can use my mantra. As I breathe in, I state “I am inhaling Love, Light & Oodles of Positive Vibes” and when I exhale I say to myself “I am releasing any emotions/thoughts which do not serve my intention.”

2. Release the Control

This is crucial. So many times our minds want to jump to “how” our intention will manifest. By doing that we are limiting ourselves to a few outcomes. And who the heck wants to be limiting? By releasing the control we can allow for the intention to manifest.

3. Unwavering Belief

Trust the universe has your back. Sometimes things happen for us in unexpected ways. The outcome can hit us by surprise, so trust Life is Happening FOR YOU. Always. Because life is filled with speed bumps, detours & construction zones. And in those “hiccups” is where we are able to grow, learn & stretch into our Best Self!

The last thing is to incorporate this into your daily practice to really see the change in your life. Remember, it take effort to be effortless!

How to Make a Decision – 5 Effortless Strategies

Making a decision can be a pain in rear. Especially a big one.

When my client asked me for insight on how to make a decision, I decided to turn it into a blog post. Because my effortless tips are AWESOME SAUCE.

Let’s get to it.

How to Make a Decision

1. Act Like You are Advising a Friend or Loved One.

If they came to with the same dilemma, what advice would you give them? What would you recommend? This question is super powerful because it access your creativity and genius zone. It uses your own intuition – which is where the answer lies.

2. Are You Making Your Decision From Fear?

Our mind loves routine AND it loves to protect us. So the “safe” route is what the mid will prefer. Ensure the decision isn’t made JUST because it is the safer choice. Why? Because that is a decision made from a place of fear. And that can easily lead into regret later.

Don’t be the #shouldawouldacoulda person!

3. Is There Another Solution?

Look at the cons of all the options. Then see if there is a way to reduce the cons. Is there a new solution which can be a hybrid of the different options? Instead of just a “Yes” or “No” option, is there another solution which can work?

Ex: Should I invest a coach? 

Initial Options: 1. Yes, do it!      2. No! I can’t afford it.

Alternatives: 3. Maybe – let me looking into coaches & see if there is one that really inspires me. If and when I find that person, I can then re-evaluate my decision.

4. Project Yourself into the Future.

One year from now, when you are looking back on your decision, how does it feel? Try on all the options in your mind. Which feels better? Which one fuels your purpose/soul? Which fuels your goals? Which choice makes you proud & give your butterflies?

5. What Would Your BEST Self Do?

Do you have a mentor or role model? Take a few minutes and jot down what qualities about them inspire you. If they had to make the same decision what option would they choose?  Does that option resonate with you? This will get you closer to the mindset of the “ideal” you. What would she/he do?

TIPS:

– Ensure you are not stressed/anxious when you are asking yourself these questions

– Get a pen & paper! Writing is a powerful tool. Set a timer & get to it!

– Know YOU have the right answer. And these questions will guide you to it. Check out this research by PsychCentral.

– If nothing comes to you immediately, take a break and come back to it later.

Making decisions can be tricky. But now you are armed with thought provoking questions to make the best decision for you!

3 Tips From My Transition from Corporate America to an Entrepreneur

I had the dream job in Corporate America. I LOVED it. I worked for Toyota HQ. I supported our Executives with develop & implementation of their Diversity & Inclusion Plans for their organization. I created, facilitated & led Mentoring Programs. I was able to impact our workforce in a massive way. The problem was, I felt constricted. It took a breakdown from overwhelm, lack of fulfillment & guilt to finally realize I was not meant for Corporate America.  Here are 3 Things I’ve learned from my transition from Corporate America to Entrepreneurship.

1. You are ALONE

Literally. I was in Corporate America for 16 years. Admittedly, sometimes I wish I did not have to deal with people … But I did love the collaborative & social element of the office life. When you are a sole entrepreneur, the physical interaction goes out the window. And it can get lonely & old real fast.

EFFORTLESS LIFE TIP: Go to networking events, meet ups and online to find like-minded entrepreneurs. Create a mastermind so you can connect, share, collaborate and up level each other. When it’s done correctly, it’s powerful.

2. You are The BOSS

There is no job description for the role. When you are starting off in the Entrepreneur space, you are it. Head of Product Development, Marketing, Public Relations, Sales … And this was a HARD pill to swallow. There were times I would wish for my job back in Corporate America. It was a hell of a lot easier. But, I pushed through. Because I knew if I did not give it my everything, I would have regret later in life.

EFFORTLESS LIFE TIP: Productivity is ESSENTIAL. As a sole entrepreneur creating a plan is vital. When I put these processes in place, it was a GAME CHANGER in my business. I increased sales while reducing stress, anxiety & worry. I’m all about win/wins.

3. It’s ALL in YOUR MIND

Mindset is key!! Seriously. When your mindset is right, the realm of possibilities open up for you. It’s the foundation to success. I worked on my mindset to overcome the roadblocks which had  stopped me from leaving the comforts of the stability. When I took control, evaluated & changed my mindset, it all changed. It was like seeing the world in HD. As a result, I have been able to weather the rocky parts of the Entrepreneurial adventure.

How to Stop Being Perfect and Start Living a Happier Life

Perfectionism blows. Seriously. The struggle of being perfect is real. Perfectionism can be detrimental. It can stifle your dreams, lead to inaction and cause anxiety. Research shows it can cause depression and lead to suicide. On the other hand, striving to be perfect can be a great thing. It can propel us to go beyond our best. It can break records. It can be a wonderful thing. Perfectionism is thin line. It’s important to know the difference, Here are 3 strategies how to stop being perfect and start living a happier life.

1. Just Do It.

I love the saying “Entrepreneurs are flying the plane while building it.” It is so freaking spot on. Perfectionism can hold us back on doing what we want. Publishing that blog post. Applying for that job. Raising your hand. When perfectionism stops us from taking opportunities, it need to be put in check. Taking action breaks the perfection paralysis and the fear that goes along with it.

2. Be You.

Growing up, all I wanted to do was fit in. My nickname “Annie” was much easier to say than “Indrani”. My nickname trickled through school, college and into the workplace. When I reclaimed my birth name, it was a proud moment. I accepted myself. I knew I was different and for the first time, I was proud of it. Being authentic to yourself is much more powerful than trying to fit in.

Be You. Authentic.

3. Embrace Imperfection.

We were born to be perfectly imperfect. If we were perfect, we would have nothing to learn. Yeah, it may be cool for a bit, but then the rest of your life would be a snooze fest. Let’s be real. We were put on this beautiful world to experience life. The good and the bad, the ups and downs. We are here to rise when we fall as stronger and smarter beings. It’s a beautiful thing.

Now you know how to stop being perfect, it is time to take action! Once you implementing these strategies in your life, you will start to see huge shifts. Start by taking small steps towards your goals. Embrace who you are. Don’t worry about what others will think. When you stand in your truth and when you are authentic, the right people will be attracted to you. It’s magical when this happens.

3 Simple Strategies to Overcome Guilt

Guilt is a wasted emotion. I wish I could banish it from the universe. Why? Because guilt can eat away at you. I suffered my ulcers with I had feelings of guilt, stress and worry. That’s when I got serious and started to look for ways to handle negative emotions in a positive way. Here are my 3 Simple Strategies to Overcome Guilt.

1. Get Out of Your Head.

We are our worst critic! As women and especially Mom’s we have these crazy high standards for ourselves. We need to be easier on ourselves and realize that we were not born to be perfect. We are perfectly imperfect! So, when you have feelings of guilt, ask yourself, if you best friend came to you with the same situation, what advice would you give her? Would you tell her she was a horrible person and was justified for her guilty feelings? Or would you reassure her? If you select the latter, then you are like most mom’s. We give empathy and love to everyone else, but we are so tough on ourselves. Well, from today, let’s change that! The advice we give to our friends, we need to give to ourselves. So, give your a break and the benefit of the doubt. Focus on the things that make you amazing!

How to Overcome Guilt

2. Transform it into a Positive Inspired Action.

This is my fav! Take those pesky guilty feelings and turn it into action! Let’s say you missed an event at work & your little one is bummed. Take a step back and see what steps you can take to ensure you can attend the next event. For instance, do you have simple, effective systems in place to create time for the most important things in life? If not, now is a great time to incorporate that into your life. Another inspired action is to take your child out and spend some one on one time together. No electronics and be present. Kids are so darn entertaining and it is such a great opportunity to take a break from everyday life. So turn those guilty emotions into action and create fun memories. Talk about a Win/Win!

3. Future Map It.

Close your eyes and visualize your life in 5 years. This event that you have guilt feelings over, does that play a factor into your future? If the answer is no, then there is no point fussing over it now! This really is effective in putting things into perspective.
