First of all.. You are NOT ALONE!
This happens to all of us. Some more often than others… just saying. And actually it is a good thing! I know, you are probably giving the screen the middle finger now. But hear me out. It is a good thing because YOU CARE. And when you care, you are more willing to do something about it. So, without further ado, here are 4 Tips When You Goals Seem Light Years Away.
1. Focus on How Far You Have Come …
When we are ambitious, crazy ass go-getters, we are aways moving forward. When we get something done, we are on to the next thing. And while that is good, we need to ground ourselves and take a moment to see how far we have come.
So, take a few deep breaths, sink into your seat and reflect on your journey. Focus on all of the accomplishments you have made. Celebrate them. You deserve it!
2. Create Milestones …
Milestones are freakin’ rad. They are smaller, mini goals that need to get done to achieve the big goals. When you break down the big goal into smaller milestones, it makes it easier to see your progress. And it keeps that dangling carrot in your eyesight, which keeps you motivated. And bonus, it is a killer productivity hack to ensure you have all the steps in place to achieve your goal.
So, go ahead and write down your goal. And then write down all the key steps which need to be done. Next, prioritize the order of the goals. What needs to be done first? Then clump them together & create milestones to keep your head in the game.
3. Practice Gratitude!
It is all about Gratitude. Research shows practicing gratitude helps us in so many ways. A few of my fav’s are:
- Increases immunity level
- Increases Optimism score
- Increases our Happiness Baseline we all have one
- Decreases Isolation & Loneliness

4. Pay it Forward
Sometimes the best thing to do when you are feeling in the dumps, is to do something for someone else. Why? Because as humans, we love to give to others. And when we do, it does wonders for us. It raises our vibrational levels & makes us feel good … which at the end of the day, isn’t that what life is all about? Feeling good?
Here are some effortless ways to pay it forward.
- Buy a stranger coffee
- Send a gratitude text to someone
- Donate to a non-profit
